Spring-like conditions, rain in the village=snow on the mountain, free (as in no cost) riding, ceremonies, then drinking...

well, what a weekend, it turned out to be...9-10 people headed out for opening day, joined by a few more the following night. Couldn't ride the second day due to a massive storm, so everyone hung out in the bar, the party kicked in Sat. night and more people made the trip from Niseko and Sapporo. Sunday turned out to be pow and nice weather to get rid of the hangover, good times - thanks for all who made it out!

Check out the Lodge now, Dan the man has fixed up the inside, the entire crew helping out over the summer...souvenir shop looking good with Nojo making friends with the village and showing the place has potential. The place is almost ready for winter, just needs heaters and beds, and Bar 1984 is ready for opening weekend (November 8th if the resort opens). If the resort does not open, party will be moved to the Kurodake Mountain opening weekend - ALL 80s, bus going from Niseko - contact Clayton at Black Diamond Lodge for more info.
